What is an Accent beat in music?

Accentuate the beat

An accent beat is a beat in the music that feels stronger or more emphasized than the others. In most music, the first beat of each bar is naturally accented, helping to shape the rhythm and make the pattern clear. Accents add interest and energy, and help you feel the music more easily.

Session Four:

Accent Beat

Another important kind of sound pattern in music is an ACCENT BEAT.
An accent beat gives music a METER PATTERN.
You create an ACCENT BEAT by making every 1st BEAT LOUDER in a repeated pattern.

2 Beat Meter Pattern

If you make every 1st BEAT LOUD and make every 2nd BEAT SOFT you create a 2 BEAT METER PATTERN.
You might try using a hand clap for each 1st or accented beat..
You might try saying –
