Extension 2:

Creative Music

AIM: To stimulate lateral thinking and creativity.

The participants should have access to a variety of instruments. They experiment in order to discover what sounds they can produce then choose a manner of depicting:

STAGE 1. Coloured shapes
STAGE 2. Picture strips depicting basic movements.
STAGE 3. Picture involving situations that require using pitched sounds.
STAGE 4. A given story line.

Exercise / Activity

1. Play these shapes with body instruments.
2. Play them with any other instruments.
3. Draw some patterns of your own and play them.
